Pat Saye

Pat Saye began her career in the real estate industry in 1964 as a summer job between high school and college.  An immediate attraction to the real estate industry kept her working in the office atmosphere while attending after hours classes at the University of Georgia.  Self-motivation, high energy, and strong work ethic moved her quickly to the top level office position.  In 1976, Pat attended the Georgia Institute of Real Estate in Atlanta, and obtained her real estate license and made the natural transition to sales.

Understanding that she must commit to training and education in order to excel in the profession, Pat began immediately taking courses offered for the Graduate, REALTORS Institute (GRI) designation, which was a three-year course.  In 1979 she obtained this designation.  Never happy being an observer, Pat became involved with the Athens Board of REALTORS and began the Newsletter for the profession in 1977.  She chaired the Awards Committee in 1979, Membership Committee in 1980, Nominating Committee in 1981, Professional Standards Committee in 1982 and Finance Committee in 1982.  She served as a member of the following committees: Awards, Banquet, Education, Finance, Legislative, Public Relations, Membership, Nominating, Political Affairs, RPAC, Personnel, Professional Standards.   Additionally she served on the Board of Directors in 1979, 1980, 1981, 1982, 1983, 1990, 1991, 1992.  Officer positions held include Secretary (1981), Treasurer (1982), Secretary (1991), Vice President (1992), President (1993).

On the State level, Pat served on the following committees through the Georgia Association of REALTOR: Special Education & Library Committee (1992-1995), Contributing Member, Outreach & Professional Standards Committee (1993).
